Significant number of back pain with radiculitis in lower extremity and absence of positive findings for sciatic nerve impingement, may be due to irritation of Sacrospinous and Sacrotuberous ligaments of pelvis resulted due to Sacral torsion. These are sclerotomal pain and will never get better in long term with traditional treatment like Traction, hot packs, and massage.
Thoraco lumbar syndrome can also cause back pain due to irritation of spinal cutaneous nerve resulted from T11-12 and L1-2 dysfunction.
Neck pain could be facet joint dysfunction of cervical spine in various level. Upper cervical spine (C2-3 )dysfunction may cause neck pain and Headache. In some cases this condition may also cause nausea and dizziness due to autonomic response. In absence of positive findings for cervical nerve impingement, radicular symptom in the upper extremity may be due to thoracic spine dysfunction.
